Finding Calm in the Chaos

Lately, life feels loud.

The kind of busy where your brain has 47 tabs open and none of them are loading. Work deadlines, kids’ schedules, emails, decisions, responsibilities - all stacked on top of each other with no pause button in sight.

In seasons like this, I’m not chasing balance. I’m chasing breath.

Sometimes that looks like stepping outside for 30 seconds of fresh air. Sometimes it’s closing my eyes and taking a deep breath before jumping into the next thing. And sometimes, it’s letting my mind wander somewhere far away.

I’ve always loved travel. Planning trips, imagining new places, picturing what it would feel like to stand somewhere unfamiliar and just be. My wanderlust runs deep, and even when I’m not going anywhere anytime soon, thinking about it gives my brain a break. It quiets the noise. It gives me something light to hold onto.

Right now, that’s enough.

This season isn’t about doing more or fixing everything. It’s about finding one small thing that pulls you out of the chaos, even if only for a moment, and letting that be your reset.

If you’re feeling stretched thin, you’re not failing. You’re human. And sometimes, keeping your head above water is more than enough.

Take the breath. Find the small thing. That counts.
